Allimni is a site for everyone learning Arabic: words with flashcards, quizzes, tests, exercises and, in time, grammar notes and reading texts. Everything can be used without signing up.

Why “عَلِّمْنِي”

“ʿAllimnī” means “teach me”: the imperative of the verb “ʿallama” (to teach) with the attached pronoun “-nī” (“me”). It is the request of everyone who comes to learn.

The site used to be called Unmuzaj (الأُنْمُوذَجُ), after al-Zamakhshari’s short grammar for beginners, “al-Unmūdhaj fī al-naḥw”.

Who it is for

For students of Oriental studies and anyone learning Arabic on their own. Teachers can run their classes on the site: students log in with a code and a PIN, and the teacher sees their progress.
